Hello Summer-Tidy up your Car!

Let’s talk organized car, now that school is out!!

I have great solutions to manage the space inside your car, since the kids are out on summer break; between summer camp, road trips and vacation, these handy tips will make family traveling a breeze!

  • Higher Necessities

Try out a seat organizer this summer to keep handy items within reach and easy to find, like cleaning supplies, cables, iPad & phone chargers, and jumper cables.  Seat hangers easily attach to your headrest and free up floor and trunk space for your larger items for traveling, shopping, and sports equipment.

  • Contain, Contain, Contain

One of my favorite tips for a  road trip is to have  a clear plastic cereal container in the car.  Place a plastic liner in the bin for cans or trash.  I can’t stand litter, and this handy tip keeps the car clean and clutter free.  Put one in the front seat and one in the back for the kids; simply pull the liners out when you reach your destination.  Talk about easy!

  • Environmentally Conscious

I am a fan of less is more, especially when it comes to grocery bags!  Everyone is selling the larger reusable shopping totes today, and these make great grocery shopping bags (Plus they are CUTE).  You can usually pick these up for around a dollar at the checkout line of your favorite store. The real kicker is that these bags make shopping so much easier; instead of having to make several trips unloading groceries I only have a few bags to unload.  These are great for storing items in the trunk too.

  •  Bins on the Brain

Try out stackable or collapsible bins for your trunk/cargo area, they’re great for the beach and vacation trips for storing larger items.  Plus, you can lay them flat when not in use!

  • Maintain your Space

After a road-trip, or when the seasons change, double check what you need in your vehicle and restock emergency, first-aid, and cleaning supplies. Be sure to  remove unneeded sports gear or random items at this time.  It will help you avoid having to make stops for items you don’t need and save you time trying to find things you do if already on board.  Happy Organizing!  Have a great summer everyone!
